Ariel S. Lee

Ariel S. Lee is a singer/songwriter/producer who’s been active on the music scene since 2003. She’s written, played on, recorded and self-produced six studio albums to date, and is noted for her unusually raw lyrics and emotive vocals. She is known for her dark humor, political themes and writing about difficult personal issues. Ariel began to teach herself the piano at a young age, and self-produced her first EP at age 13. She graduated in 2007 with a BA in Fine Art and her first fully produced CD “The Vigilante,” available on iTunes. She has continued schooling with two AS science degrees, and she plans to go into medicine as early as 2012. This has influenced her musical style, as the forthcoming album will deal with a lot of these themes. A unique standpoint from a different kind of singer-songwriter. Korland KJ Sims was born in Vallejo, CA on May 19th, 1994. After playing saxophone and piano for a couple of years, and also participating in a hip hop dance group, he became very serious about hip hop music. In 2006, at the age of 12, he formed the hip hop music group Chrome Cats, which also included his sister, cousin, and two of his sisters friends. He wrote over 20 songs that summer but only had the chance to record a few. After the summer ended, it was harder for him and his sister to team up the other members in the group due to school and schedules. So Korland continued writing and recording songs with his sister.

Jamila Sims was born February 20th 1997 in Vallejo, CA. She loved dancing, which brought her to Dance Unlimited studios in Vallejo. Over the course of 3 years, she learned tap, ballet, and hip hop. She performed at various dance events and won many trophies and ribbons. In 2006 the Chrome Cats music group was formed, which enabled Jamila to add to her love of entertaining, as a founding member of the group. Jamila continues to contribute both lead and background vocals.

Michele’s stunning vocals have earned her backup singer gigs with the legendary RAY CHARLES and Spain’s RAPHAEL. Her singing has also been featured on the acclaimed HBO series SIX FEET UNDER and in films such as RATED X (starring Charlie Sheen) and KINGDOM COME (starring Whoopi Goldberg). Born and raised in Chicago, she moved to the Bay Area then Los Angeles, (with several-month stays in Madrid, Spain and Brisbane, Australia in between).

Now settled in Venice, CA, she has released her debut CD Plastic Garden. Influenced by artists such as DIDO, ZERO 7, BECK and MORCHEEBA, the CD is dreamy, modern pop with electronic and world elements. Zero 7 vocalist and artist MOZEZ calls Michele “A rising star . . . an artist with a unique beauty in her voice. A touch of grace.”

Captivating melodies and thoughtful messages make Plastic Garden a standout work. While some of her lyrics reveal dark truths “you’re an auto-pilot sitting smoking your smile,” Michele also offers hope — “fell into a rabbit hole and woke up in a different body, now I got a perfect soul.” Industry insider Scott Stimpson of Big Mountain Productions says, “Rarely do artists come along that are so cutting edge yet so respectful for all that has come before. Listen once and you’ll be instantly drawn into Michele’s world, one that’s complex with emotion yet simple with statement. A true tour de force.”

After soul-searching and writing an introspective record which takes us through a garden of love, self-deception, realization and hope, Michele sought out talented producers to help her brand her “Trip-Pop, Chill Fusion” sound. 5 different producers contributed to the 10 songs on Plastic Garden always keeping in mind her vision. “I wanted the chill, trip-hop elements of artists like Zero 7 in the mix,” says Michele, “yet I love middle-eastern melodies, Latin percussion and ethnic music samples. I didn’t want to be a world or new-age artist, so as you’ll hear, the essential flavor of my music is pop or adult alternative ala KCRW.”

This brilliant collection helped Michele place a track in the indie feature THE BLISS and to become a featured artist on the exclusive W HOTEL chain’s compilation CD. Her CD Release Party will be Sat. March 10th at Tangier in Hollywood, CA at 9pm and she is slated to be featured in an upcoming www.livevideo.com webcast devoted to emerging musical artists. Michele is also a budding actress, having had co-stars on the TV shows THE SHIELD, BOSTON LEGAL and STANDOFF.

What do you get when a small-town country girl who grew up singing in the church choir flees to the city and joins a surf-punk band? You get the inspiring, idiosyncratic music of Adrienne Hamilton. Although her punk rock days are over, happily Adrienne hasn’t lost her edge: her unique sensibility and fierce independence-as a songwriter, as a musician, as a person-couples a DIY ethos with the musical chops to back it up.

Adrienne discovered the danger of song at the tender age of four, when her mother backed the family van into a tree while singing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” (in rounds). An untoward attraction to music was sparked in the girl right then and there, and it wasn’t long before she adopted the piano as her favored instrument, to accompany her voice. Over the next thirteen years, while a nurturing church organist helped to hone Adrienne’s piano-playing skills, secular songwriting quickly became her chief source of satisfaction. Adrienne found herself drawn to the strength of song, this medium in which it felt natural to do as she pleased: to forget or remember; to confront or ignore; to shout out loud or share seductively whispered secrets. Making music granted Adrienne the allowance to be honest, but honest on her own terms, and in her own good time. What’s both most astounding and yet, somehow, so very not, is that the audaciousness of music continues to captivate Adrienne even as she simultaneously, relentlessly tries to capture it.

Adrienne’s accomplished piano-driven compositions run the gamut from subdued, organic grooves to unapologetic upbeat cuts. Her sensuous, straightforward voice often accompanied by off-kilter arrangements makes her music uniquely original. It is those contrasts inherent in her music that make Adrienne Hamilton easy to appreciate and hard to ignore.

Biography: Big Lou BIOBig Lou (aka) The Spanish Frank White was born in Camden N.J. (The Worst City in America) he was raised by a single mother (Maria Rodriquez) and grew up with 4 brothers and 3 sisters. At the age of 14 Big Lou started growing fond of music.

He began writing songs on the struggles of his hood. Before his music career would emerge he became a product of the streets. Big Lou started selling drugs. Although Big Lou was living the fast life, he never lost his love for music. Big Lou was determined to make a better way and started investing his dirty money into buying studio equipment. Little by little Big Lou spent more time in the studio than the streets.

After successfully finishing his first Independent album Big Lou gave up the street life and focused on selling his music. Amazingly Big Lou sold 3,500 units in a city that’s only 8 square miles, creating a buzz that traveled to Philly and parts of Jersey City fast. As his success kept growing he eventually would start his own Independent label called LOST CITY RECORDS. He began booking his own shows and opened up for acts such as Freeway, Ms Jade, Fat Joe, MobbDeep, KRS One, Mista Cheeks, and The Lox. He also blew crowds away at over 10 Spanish Day Parades and had Latin’s comparing him to the great late Big Pun. Taking it a step further he invested his CD money into doing a charity event for the local schools in his neighborhood which he called LOST CITY 4 the KIDS.

Big Lou is a warrior that deserves to be heard by the world, a Latin MC that one day could be compared to the elite rappers of Hip Hop.
